“An adventure for the young of heart!”
Staying on the boat was a real adventure—no two nights were the same. The view from the deck was unbeatable, but the bed’s angle made it a bit of a stretch to get a good night’s sleep.
“Séjour original et sympathique”
The houseboat was beautifully set up, and our cabin opened onto the Meuse—perfect for a quiet morning. The owner was super friendly and whipped up a great breakfast that felt like a local gathering. We’d love to come back. The only hiccup was the lack of parking right on the quay; we had to find a spot on the busy avenue above.
“Eine ganz besondere Unterkunft :)”
This was a self‑built cargo ship turned home, complete with a small bathroom and shower in every room. We cooked dinner in the kitchen and even had homemade jam for breakfast (extra charge). The captain was super friendly, creating a family‑like vibe, and the shared living‑dining area was great for everyone. The ship’s central location was unbeatable. We’re thrilled to have found such a unique spot.
“Nur zu empfehlen, jederzeit sehr gerne wieder!”
The place was spotless and the host was incredibly friendly and attentive. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home, like we’d stepped into a cozy family gathering.
The location and view of the Maas were fantastic—exactly where you want to be on the water. The downside? The bathroom was too small for a tall person like me; showering was a challenge, though it was doable at night.
