The room was spacious, the food was excellent, and the service was top‑class, but the bar license was not available on the property, even though the staff were friendly.

The location was pretty good, yet my stay at Tree of Life Vantara Resort & Spa was a huge let‑down. A lizard was found in the room, and the staff tried to remove it, but it slipped into the ceiling gaps, which was unsettling. The mirror and carpet were visibly dirty. We paid almost ₹7,000 for lunch, but the food quality didn’t match the price, and we even found a plastic thread and hair in the soup. We booked this stay through the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) group, expecting the usual standard, but this was the worst and most expensive experience among them, not worth the money. There was a clear lack of amenities, hospitality, and overall service. The recreational equipment was poorly maintained – the badminton racket strings were broken and the shuttlecock was damaged. The resort is in a low‑coverage area, and although Wi‑Fi was available, the internet was extremely poor. Overall, the stay was far below expectations given the brand reputation and the price charged.

“A peaceful oasis away from the city, with some small issues”

The hotel was very well maintained with attention to detail; the room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable, clean, and had a pleasant smell, and the view from the room and the property was amazing. The food was very good, with many choices and high quality. Because it’s far from the city and on a hill, you can enjoy peace and tranquillity (though you need a driver to get there). The service was good and fast, but the staff were friendly yet a bit invasive; sometimes you feel observed, as they knock on the door just to check if everything is okay. Communication is often difficult because they speak very poor English. The reservation management was very insistent, with several calls and messages any time before arrival, and they didn’t follow policy even after involving booking customer service. They refused my perfectly functioning credit card twice because they wanted all payment in advance via a WhatsApp link, which was unprofessional and stressful. The property doesn’t have a spa, contrary to what the name and booking details suggest, which was very disappointing.
