“Esperienza unica ma sovrapprezzata”
The Felucca experience was genuinely authentic and beautiful; the captain and his very young assistant were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. Sailing at sunset was a unique experience. However, the value for money needs reconsideration. The night on the Felucca and breakfast are fairly priced given the special location, but we advise against dining on the Felucca. The dinner was low quality, featuring frozen chicken and boiled vegetables, even though the organizer described it as “Egyptian.” We also added a trip to the Nubian village, which we found quite expensive for a simple motorboat transfer from the Felucca to the village, especially since neither driver spoke English. At the end of the experience we asked for a discount because the agreed price was very high compared to what was offered. The discount was granted, but we were left stranded in the middle of the Nile on a dead boat until we paid and tipped the boat driver. Honestly, we only recommend sleeping on the Felucca and avoiding any other activities with them.
