The stay was utterly disappointing—nothing positive at all. The property failed to meet even the most basic standards. The experience began with a horrifying, unhygienic, and extremely stressful start to my Mumbai trip, and the listing was completely misleading—do not trust the photos or description. I was forced to change rooms three times; every room was extremely dirty, with stained bedsheets, pillows with holes, stained walls, and visible roaches/bedbugs everywhere. The staff did not properly change the bedding and instead kept moving me to different rooms. I slept fully clothed, did not shower, and avoided touching anything. The bathroom was completely unsanitary: the toilet was severely stained, surfaces were visibly dirty, and there was a strong unpleasant smell, so I relied heavily on hand sanitizer. Most rooms had no natural light or fresh air; even with AC and fans running, the rooms constantly smelled bad. The location was advertised as “downtown” but actually sits in a very overcrowded slum area with narrow, chaotic streets where Ubers cannot even reach the entrance. The building relies almost entirely on one small elevator; staircases exist but are not usable—some stair access areas were completely blocked with junk and furniture, one floor appeared to have a missing or incomplete flight of stairs, and other stairwells were cluttered with debris, leaving no continuous, usable emergency exit. Breakfast was included in the booking but never provided; the staff falsely claimed they contacted about a refund, and I had to follow up myself more than 10 days later. The hotel technically has Wi‑Fi, but it does not reach many rooms; I had to change rooms just to get basic internet access, and the staff did nothing to fix the issue. Hallways smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, with trash and debris left in common areas, including near my room.

“Ghatya hotel”

Don’t go to this hotel; I had a terrible experience. I booked online and the booking was confirmed, but when I arrived with my family the receptionist told me, “Sir, you have to pay extra money or your booking will be cancelled.” This hotel is a bad experience.
