“Un hostel sin ambiente de hostel”

The front desk lady was very attentive and friendly, explaining how to use the parking and everything else. Before, hostels were cheaper for travelers; now they charge the same as a hotel room or an apartment for two people, yet the services differ. We paid the same as an apartment but had no towels, had to buy them separately, the room wasn’t very clean, the shared bathroom lacked even a little shower gel, no hair dryer, the communal armchairs looked dirty, and the old carpets were unappealing. The building shares space with a school, which felt odd. Parking was on the other side because the main street is under construction. The kitchen and common rooms were very gloomy. I understand that mixed‑room rates might differ, but we paid for an apartment in Zagreb and didn’t get those services. Hostels should charge what they are; I didn’t like it and wouldn’t return.

The listing didn’t explicitly state that there was no bathroom in the room; when I arrived, they told me the bathroom was shared, citing that it wasn’t mentioned in the listing, which is assumed in the 3rd millennium and should have been specified as an exception. The issue was resolved on the spot and they gave me another room.

The staff were helpful and friendly, the spot is ideal (near the bus stop and city center), the beds are comfy and everything is clean. However, you have to pay 5 euros to store your luggage in a locker after check‑out.

“Zagabria città da scoprire”

The location is great, just a 5‑minute walk from the center, and you can park your car right in front of the hostel. The room is very spacious and quiet.
