“Begeisterte Hostel Erfahrung :)”

The location right on the coast is fantastic! Every day I did yoga on the hill behind the hostel, and it was beautiful to watch sunrise and sunset there. The hostel atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed, and you quickly connect with other travelers. The kitchen has plenty of space for your own supplies and cooking. Rooms and bathrooms were in top condition every day thanks to the cleaning staff. The town has everything you need. I highly recommend the little pastry shop next door. Unfortunately, the north of Madeira is a bit rainier and cooler than the south (I was there in October), but there are still many ways to explore the surroundings from the hostel and from Porto da Cruz.

The spot’s spot‑on location near the beach is perfect, and the vibe is great too—lots of social folks and solo travelers ready to plan together. The hostel managers were super welcoming and friendly, and they even pushed us to try their homemade garden beer, which was delicious! :) I’d definitely return if I head back to Madeira.

Jaca Hostel in Porto da Cruz turned out to be a dream come true; I was traveling solo and had thought it’d just be a stopover, but the place felt warm, homely, and the people were lovely.

“Séjour agréable dans un hostel bien situé pour le surf et une équipe hyper sympa !”

Le personnel est incroyable : accueillant et serviable. Les locaux sont propres et parfaitement entretenus. La possibilité de louer du matériel de surf, sachant que l'auberge est située juste un côté d'un bon spot, est un atout. Il manque seulement à mon avis un espace de rangement pour la nourriture sèche (hors réfrigérateur). Attention également au lave-vaisselle qui fuit

Es war sehr sauber, aufgeräumt und gut organisiert. Schade, dass kein Frühstück dabei war. Die Stimmung in dem Hostel war eher kühl und anonym. Hätte mit ein bisschen Musik oder gemeinsames Essen verbessert werden können
