Hotel Ca' Mura

The breakfast was excellent and generous, but the first impression of the property fades when you look closer. Several ducks roam the grounds, initially harmless, but soon they start dropping droppings everywhere—so much that you can’t even walk barefoot on the lawn. The pool is similarly ruined, filled with excrement and no longer inviting. The beds were a nightmare; after 30 years of Italian mattresses we felt like we’d hit a boss level—our backs ached so badly we didn’t know how to lie down. All of this forced us to leave a day early.

The breakfast buffet was small but delightful, with rotating treats, and the pastries were served on a charming terrace overlooking the pool. Our three‑bedroom room was spacious and comfortable, featuring a balcony and a seating area. The location was superb, with the lake and Bardolino within a few minutes’ walk, and we rented three bicycles without any hassle. On a high note, the coffee machine was great, just missing the “Caffè Crema” function.

“Lovely hotel close to the beautiful lake.”

I stayed at this hotel for three nights and found it truly lovely; the swimming pool was fantastic and breakfast was very nice. The location was great—close to the lake and just a short walk to excellent restaurants and shops.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. Duck droppings around and in the pool were regularly removed, but not always completely. Otherwise, the place was very clean and well maintained.
