The location was fine, but it was hard to get hot water, especially in the cold season. The room lacked a hairdryer and a fridge, and when I climbed to the fourth floor, the staff didn’t help me even though they were right in front of me.

The place is well situated, just a stone’s throw from the Temple of the Tooth, and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are old, and the ones facing the street are noisy. There is no hot water for showers, so if you’re looking for a cheap spot close to the temple, this works.

It’s convenient, old but clean and comfortable, and a great deal for a short stay. The shower’s hot water was cut off and the water was very cold, so there was no hot water to make morning tea.

A warm welcome greeted me, and the hotel’s location is spot on. The facilities are pretty basic and the building feels a bit old‑fashioned. The street is noisy, and I had to watch out for monkeys that might sneak into the rooms.
