The property was spotless and offered a range of restaurants, and I especially enjoyed the casino; however, there’s no internal link to the casino, so I had to walk my 83‑year‑old mother outside at night to reach it, and next time I’d rather stay in the main building—plus it was a bit pricey for a weekday stay.

The room was ready and tidy at check‑in, and as we left, a cleaner thanked us and handed us water bottles on our way to the elevator; the hotel is far from the main area, and by 2026 with more electric vehicles, the lack of on‑site charging stations is a major inconvenience—having to go to a Tesla station that many cars can’t use, and other chargers are too far away, makes it very frustrating.

The price and location relative to Bethel Woods were good, but there’s no pool at the Alder, and if you want to eat late you have to walk to the main hotel.

It’s a new hotel, but after two or three years it’s begun to slip; I can’t explain it, but after two years I notice a decline. I expected my room to be cleaned after the first day, but nothing happened. When I asked for more coffee, which should have been replaced, it took forever to get it, and some staff seemed uninterested and reluctant to be around—so I don’t plan to return.
