“Séjour professionnel à Créteil”
The only bright spot was the morning receptionist at 7:30 am, a bearded young man who apologized for the previous night’s fire alarm and was noticeably nicer and more smiling than the staff from the day before. From the moment I arrived, I was asked for my ID in a way that felt more like a police station than a hotel, had to sign a bunch of paperwork, and the two front‑desk ladies gave no smiles or kindness—just a very Parisian, unhelpful attitude that could use a provincial hospitality course. When I finally reached my room, I saw an African woman watching TV, which I thought was a guest until I realized she was the housekeeper; she spoke poorly in French and I didn’t understand her at all. To top it all off, a fire alarm went off during the evening with no apology from staff. The room had only one chair, a tiny table, no blackout curtains—just a plain curtain—plus weak shower water pressure. If you’re after a genuine four‑star experience, try the Novotel with its pool; this Courtyard Marriott is not even on par with an Ibis or Campanile in Créteil, which are cheaper and better. It’s basically a Formula 1 level, not more. I strongly advise against staying here.
