I stayed in a Japanese‑style room and the instant smell of tatami was comforting. The morning and evening meals were just right in portion and taste. The hot spring was also very relaxing.

The outdoor mixed onsen is great. Breakfast could have been improved, for example offering Japanese dishes instead of just simple Western options.

The onsens are excellent, and the dinner and breakfast felt authentically Japanese. However, there are no hot meals or coffee options at the hotel other than the set breakfasts and dinners.

The hot spring looked stunning, and the private dining was a highlight; the staff were very helpful and charming. However, the tatami rooms carried a noticeable smell, and there was no western food offered at breakfast or dinner, which limited our options despite enjoying the Japanese dishes.

The ryokan was a high‑quality hotel with a great onsen, and we booked a room with half‑board; the dinner was fantastic, a classic Kaiseki menu that was really good. Breakfast was Japanese, which we liked, though it’s a matter of taste. During dinner the beds were set up, and the service was very friendly. If breakfast and dinner aren’t enough, there are vending machines selling drinks (including beer and limos for 300 Yen) and noodle cups. For those who find the futons too firm, just lay another mat from the drawer underneath. Overall, it’s worth recommending! The only downside is that special requests are hard to fulfill, but if you announce them early they usually work out.
