“A proper stay in a French house full of artefacts and set in a lovely big garden.”

The homely vibe and warm welcome from the host made it feel like a real countryside stay. We enjoyed a lovely dinner with other guests in the garden, which was a great start to the holiday and convenient for Barbizon and Fontainebleau. The breakfast in the morning was superb and set us on our way. I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities, but if asked the host would have offered a drink.

The location and layout were good. The breakfast was very simple, no croissants, the bread was dry, and there was only jam for toast.

The owner gave a warm welcome. The room is tastefully decorated in line with the building’s style. You can sit outside in the garden after arrival. The dinner served in the evening was very tasty, the atmosphere cozy. Fontainebleau Castle is not far, so I recommend staying here. A parking spot was available on the street. We’ll definitely return. Nothing else.

The location is very quiet. The hostess is super attentive to guests’ comfort. The house is full of surprises. You really need to spend a stay there.

The hostess was charming and offered us a “tree‑room,” a lovely experience. Overall it was very satisfying, and both breakfast and dinner were very good.
