The staff were courteous and highly attentive, and the service was excellent. The food was delightful, offering a wide variety of options. The room was simple, but the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was satisfactory and had a spacious shower. It was an ideal stop along the M5 for our seven‑hour journey to Cornwall, and we look forward to staying at this hotel again next year. Everything was fine for us.

The location was good, and we stayed on the way to Plymouth for the ferry. The room was clean and comfortable. The evening meal service wasn’t well organised: my husband finished his main course before mine was even brought to the table, then the staff cleared the table and didn’t return to ask about desserts, so we had to find someone to ask. The staff seemed unsure of what to do, perhaps they were in training.

I found the rooms comfortable, spotless, and the service and food were excellent. I was annoyed that parking wasn’t included, that the half‑board dinner only had two courses instead of three, and that the late checkout cost £30.

Bed was comfy breakfast was acceptable. Parking fee for hotel guests Ridiculous. No shower gel and a flashing light in the bathroom which is not good for people with epilepsy my husdand
