The rooftop was definitely the highlight – a pleasant spot with a great atmosphere – and the food we tried was overall very tasty. Our room was spacious, bright, and equipped with a huge TV, and we appreciated the welcome drink of fresh juice and chocolate‑covered strawberries. However, the overall guest experience fell short: details were overlooked, service was not proactive, and the vibe didn’t match the five‑star positioning. Before arrival we were asked to fill out a very detailed questionnaire, even down to our preferred scent, which set high expectations for personalization that never materialized; the chosen fragrance was never used and, despite specifying no alcohol, a bottle of sparkling wine was left in the room. It’s puzzling why such specific data was collected if it wouldn’t be applied. Housekeeping was very basic – the welcome strawberries sat on the bedside table for three days, there was no spare toilet paper, towels and bathrobes weren’t properly replaced, and one day the water bottles were forgotten, forcing us to request them at reception. Even the coffee set lacked a spoon or anything to stir. We left a “Do Not Disturb” sign one morning, yet no one returned in the afternoon to see if we wanted cleaning. Maintenance issues also appeared: hot water didn’t work properly at first, and the room emitted odd noises that need checking. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable for us. Breakfast was a disappointment; there was no true buffet and the selection was limited in both variety and portion size – for example, the yogurt came in a serving about the size of two teaspoons. Service was consistently very slow.

The hotel sits in a great spot close to Playa del Carmen’s beach and many attractions, and the rooftop offers a nice view; some staff were polite and helpful during the stay. However, the front desk wasn’t as helpful as I’d hoped, and I only learned at check‑out—after two nights—that I was entitled to certain meals. That detail should have been shared at arrival so I could fully enjoy the booking perks.

La décoration de l’hôtel, les chambres sont grandes ,la vue est magnifique , le rooftop est sublime , le Beach club ombragé .Les deux restaurants sont délicieux , la cuisine est locale et raffinée ! Un super séjour Le personnel a l’exception de la réceptionniste . La réceptionniste nous avons demandé la veille de notre départ de modifier l’horaire de notre taxi , pour 16h au lieu de 17h et le matin même pour être sure de partir à 16h . Au moment du départ elle nous informe que cela n’est pas possible sauf si nous payons un nouveau taxi . C’est dommage car le personnel est top hormis cet incident. Notre taxi est arrivé à 16h45 nous avons eu notre vol!
