“Very secluded peaceful stay with lovely staff and pool”

Being surrounded by jungle, we could hear monkeys and elephants, and the pool was lovely for relaxing. The food was nice, and the lady owner helped us sort out our train tickets. The menus were a bit confusing because they didn’t specify whether rice was included, and the massage was quite expensive. The lady was on her phone a lot, and the massage table was missing; no music was played during the massage. There was no internet in the rooms, so I couldn’t enjoy the balcony with internet access. The road to the hotel was very bumpy and not a proper road.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the setting was beautiful, the pool pleasant, and the scenery magical just 2 km from the station; the food was also very good, though there were a few minor, insignificant details.

“Heerlijk even tot rust komen”

The host was absolutely fantastic, and the food was heavenly! Everything about the accommodation was perfect, except for the slightly tricky access - but it was well worth it.

The location with a view of the river was stunning, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The quality-to-price ratio was extremely disappointing, and the resort seemed to be in need of some serious maintenance. It felt a bit dated, and we were a long way from civilization. To make matters worse, the half-board option we booked turned out to be the same price as a night's stay with breakfast, which felt like a rip-off. Be warned!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful retreat, thanks to our lovely host who made us feel right at home. The location is perfect for those seeking relaxation, just outside of Luang Prabang. It's a great spot to unwind and recharge.
