“Overall, the apartment has some clear advantages, especially its central location, spaciousness and comfortable bed, but”
We booked the “Metal” apartment, the one with the yellow bedspread shown in the photos, so this review only covers that unit. The spot is smack in the center, so getting around and reaching most places was a breeze. The flat itself was roomy, and both the bed and pillows felt comfortable. Air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot days, and overall the apartment had every basic thing you’d expect for a stay. The biggest problem was the bathroom: starting on the third day, a strong sewage odor drifted from the toilet area and the toilet itself leaked. A handful of other maintenance and cleanliness issues piled up over the week: the toilet seat was cracked and kept coming loose; hand soap ran out on day three, forcing us to buy more; the toothbrush holder still had toothpaste residue from previous guests, clearly not cleaned properly. Mold appeared in the shower corners and the drain was poor, so sometimes water overflowed onto the floor while we showered. Some items needed repair or replacement: the ironing board and clothes drying rack were warped and awkward, the iron leaked water, and a light in the kitchen extractor hood was dead. For a seven‑night stay, a spare set of towels for each guest would have been very helpful—high humidity meant towels took ages to dry. We washed ours a few times, but because they dried so slowly, we were left without usable towels for a long stretch.
