“Extremely disappointing and not at all as advertised.”
Nothing about this place was pleasant. We expected a different kind of stay, yet paid a significant amount for a place infested with cockroaches, so unsettling that we couldn’t even make coffee. Floors were sticky, bathrooms and couches were dirty, and no extra linens were supplied for our three kids—there wasn’t enough to cover the couch for them to sleep. The cupboards were broken, several electrical sockets didn’t work, and the fan in the main bedroom was dead, though an air conditioner was present. The property’s marketing was deceptive; a neighboring house sits right beside it, eliminating privacy on the patio. Parties were happening on the premises, apparently against the rules. The sliding door to the outside was so hard to lock that it required a workout to secure it. Our arrival was a disaster— the owner seemed unaware of our booking, with no communication from either side. We checked out on Sunday only to learn the property had been re‑booked for the same dates we had already paid for, and no refund or compensation was offered. The whole experience was awful and unacceptable. For a property in such a beautiful area, this accommodation is a disgrace and tarnishes the region’s reputation. I can’t believe such a place is still listed.
