“A place with a lot more potential that it offers right now”

The wooden style of the building had its perks, but the rooms had no windows and the one we got felt like a cave. It was spacious enough that it didn’t feel claustrophobic. We could have been given a tour of the house to understand which parts we could enjoy, as it was a shared spa/hotel business. The massage was very mediocre and, in hindsight, it was well overpriced for what it was.

“Perfect location to be out of the city and close to nature”

After a rough start trying to locate the place without a Grab driver, we finally arrived at a stunning wooden lodge and were welcomed by the owner and Som, who immediately made us feel at home. The entire building is made of wood, and there’s a tranquil pond and terrace where you can just unwind. The room was huge, with a very large, comfortable bed. We enjoyed a gorgeous view of the mountains and a field across from the property that attracted beautiful birds throughout the day. Birdwatchers can easily spot birds from the terrace below the breakfast area, which was delicious and set the tone for the day. A massage is available here, though we didn’t have time to book one. Som was extremely helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. We rode their bicycles to nearby waterfalls, and Som also helped us rent a motorbike for further day trips. The bar/restaurant across the road serves nice cocktails and has friendly staff; we didn’t dine there, but there are countless roadside eateries on the same street, so you won’t go hungry. We would return without hesitation!

“Short”

The room was dark, and a curtain hid a hole leading to another room, which felt unsafe and creepy. A light bulb hung in the shower unit by an exposed wire. I spent 20 minutes in the property, booked another hotel, and left, never staying again.

“Dépaysement, sérénité, massages, balades en scooter”

Located away from Chiang Mai in a quiet spot, this place is ideal for exploring the surroundings by scooter or car. The very large wooden house, though a bit dark, reflects peace and serenity. The entire property is very clean. It’s a massage school, so you’ll find highly skilled practitioners. Som is particularly pleasant and will assist with scooter rentals, places to visit, nearby small restaurants, etc. The room we stayed in, on the top floor, was very spacious and well arranged. There were many power outlets, efficient and well‑placed air conditioning, and a fun bathroom with a sauna‑style shower floor. The hot water and pressure were flexible, and the necessary products were provided. The breakfast was very generous and varied daily, and excellent. There’s a well‑decorated small restaurant 100 meters to the right when you exit, if you don’t want to go far for dinner (service until 9 pm and beyond). The value for money is remarkable. I’m looking but can’t find anything else!

The teak house offered exceptionally beautiful rooms, with the furnishings also made of teak. The staff were very friendly, and the Thai breakfast featured fresh fruit. The terrace was lovely, and the view was fantastic. Absolutely recommended! Everything was perfect.
