Inside the apartment, though, the fixtures are showing their age: faucets drip, the two‑burner stove feels ancient, and the mattresses are way too soft. And if you’re visiting Ellmau in high season, expect crowds everywhere.

The place sits in a great spot with lovely surroundings, making it easy to explore the area. Everything felt convenient and the setting was pleasant.

Overall the room met my expectations and the basics worked fine. The only disappointment was the lack of a balcony, which would have been nice for a quick breath of fresh air.

The apartment’s location and price were spot on, and the view was fantastic. Unfortunately the outdoor area was practically non‑existent – just two chairs, no table, so we had to consider buying extra seating.

The location and the view were definitely highlights, and the host was really friendly. However the bathroom was not properly cleaned, the sink was grimy, and we couldn’t get into the unit right away despite letting them know our arrival time. To make matters worse, the fridge that sits against the bedroom wall is door‑less and noisy, which is a pain for anyone sensitive to sound.
