The stay looks a bit dated but the bed is good and there’s a shared shower/wc. The host is friendly and makes breakfast himself.

The breakfast was well prepared. The host was attentive, friendly, and did his best. The room was not clean; there was still trash from a previous guest under the bed, which gave a bad impression. The room was cramped and dusty. It was a very hot day and a humid night. Because there was no curtain for the window, we had to leave it open and were bitten by mosquitoes at night. We were stung several times. The shower was also lacking: the tap was loose on all sides, the showerhead only sprayed a tiny stream, and there was no soap. Overall, neither the room nor the shower met our expectations for hygiene and maintenance.

“An experience !!”

I could barely find anything redeeming about this place; it might have an old worldly charm, but that’s about all. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the door handle inside and outside was held together by a single loose screw, making us worry whether we’d be locked in or our belongings locked in. No staff stayed overnight, there was no card machine to buy a meal when we arrived, and the location was terrible for getting back to Weert. A week after staying there we were covered head to toe in bites. Highly recommend if you want to experience a cross between Bates Motel and Faulty Towers!
