What a beautiful, quiet place with free‑range animals and a host who took great care of us. The spa and the pool were gorgeous. We felt right at home… thanks, Corinne, we’ll definitely come back.

The room was spacious, the owners were welcoming, and the castle grounds were lovely.

We liked the setting, the room, and the balnéo. However, the photos on the listing made us think we’d arrive to a warm place, but the fireplace had a Mexican brazier that smoked a lot despite the extractor, taking away the charm. The outdoor brazier was more of a ashtray. We hadn’t booked a treatment beforehand because we wanted to choose on arrival. I had read about a rock‑cut hammam, but the relaxation and spa area was closed, with benches covered in sheets like for winter storage. A treatment could be booked by appointment, but we gave up. What disappointed us most was breakfast. The brochure promised homemade jam, eggs, bread, and pastries. The pastries and bread were hard and thawed. The owner apologized for the morning breakfast because he had “nothing else.” I thought it was fine, but the next morning the pastries were even harder and the bread was inedible. I would have preferred no breakfast, having brought eggs, fruit, and a good juice. The nearest bakery is less than 5 minutes away. I chose this place for its “terre happy” concept, which I liked because much of my family is in the land and vineyards. There are times when you need a true rest, a moment to be pampered, but that didn’t happen. This disappointment didn’t stop us from enjoying the area, the setting, and the balnéo in the room, but the price or the **** rating is not justified, especially for the breakfast or the fireplace smoke. It might be fine in summer, but after this experience we won’t return.

The hosts were lovely. An ideal winter relaxation stay with a spa and a room that had a fireplace.
