Monte do Lago, Pegões

“Experiência muito negativa e dececionante”

I only liked the location. The experience was very negative. The photos on Booking didn’t match reality and the space looked very different from what the ad showed. Even though we had a confirmed and paid reservation, we were told upon arrival that there was no availability to receive us. Because of this, we had to leave and find another place, never staying at the accommodation. It was unacceptable and caused us a lot of trouble, especially since the reservation was confirmed.

The animals and the lake were great.

The breakfast was excellent and the place was very quiet.

A farm in the prairie with all the animals you can think of—dogs, cats, donkeys, chickens, peacocks… a lake, a pool… some things are a bit old (sun loungers and umbrellas) but overall it was an experience. The breakfast was very clear. We were the only guests and could move freely everywhere.

“Desiludida. Preço qualidade muito mau.”

We didn’t like that the bathroom didn’t seem clean; the toilet was full of paper. The pillowcases didn’t smell good. The indoor pool wasn’t working. The pool was drained in the morning when it could have been used, washed with bleach that left an unbearable smell, and we weren’t told—had to ask. A wedding was happening that weekend; on Thursday they had already started setting up. We requested a refund for the last night because we were dissatisfied. My son and my friend couldn’t use the pool because it had been drained. We left. They said they would refund the last night, but it’s been 3 weeks and still nothing. The owners’ children were very rude and ill‑mannered, even threw a stone at my car when we left. The jacuzzi was dirty and didn’t work. We had a bad experience and won’t return.
