“I really don’t understand where the high rating comes from, terribly rude staff, horrible food.”
The room had a big bed and a single bed, nothing else. Daily room service only made the bed and took out the trash; floors stayed dirty and towels were not fresh. The staff was mediocre overall, with some nice people, but the receptionists were awful—one was extremely rude. At check‑in he demanded I speak Russian, even though I’m from Moldova and my husband is Chinese and doesn’t speak Russian. After checking out I returned to collect my AirPods, which I had left on the bed, and the FindMy app still showed them at the hotel. I explained the situation and asked for help, but he started zooming in and out on the map and argued that they weren’t in the hotel, switching to Russian and being very rude. My husband couldn’t understand him. Another receptionist asked what was going on; after five minutes they found my AirPods, so it wasn’t a big deal to ask the team a question. The food was terrible, especially the “included breakfast.” I didn’t expect a Michelin‑star restaurant in a 4‑star hotel, but the quality was impossible to eat: poor ingredients, fake cheeses and sausages, palm‑oil spreads, and scrambled eggs that tasted like starch. Vegetables didn’t look fresh at all.
