“Место с историей и характером”
I was struck from the first moment by the sense that this place has a story of its own. The hotel doesn’t turn history into a museum display; instead it weaves the past gently into the present, and that seems to give it a unique vibe. In the room we were greeted by a handwritten note from the staff—a small touch, but it builds the impression that they really think about guests. The room itself was stunning: vintage items and interior elements coexist with modern details so naturally it feels like they were always part of the same space. Nothing feels out of place or random—everything is chosen with taste and a respect for the site’s history. The grounds are a real highlight. There’s a lovely old park that invites leisurely strolls, whether after breakfast in the morning or in the evening, it becomes part of the rest, not just a pretty backdrop. There’s a pool and a spacious jacuzzi where we could relax with our child. In warm weather the pool water was pleasantly warm, without that icy sting that sometimes makes you reluctant to jump in. What sticks out most is the overall atmosphere. The staff are always nearby if you need help or advice, but never intrusive. The location lets you enjoy quiet and greenery while being only a few minutes’ drive from the city center. It’s the kind of place where you return at night not just to sleep but to enjoy the time there. And I would never have guessed it was only a three‑star hotel if I hadn’t known beforehand. The interiors, grounds, service, and attention to detail all give a completely different feel.
Still, there are a few points that could make the stay even more comfortable. The lack of an elevator wasn’t a problem for us because we knew about it from other reviews. I wouldn’t even call the next issue a drawback—just a small wish for the owners. The room was missing a iron or steamer. The staff happily provided a portable steamer upon request, but it would be more convenient to have one in the room. After a long trip, clothes in the suitcase inevitably wrinkle, and being able to straighten them right away is a small domestic detail that noticeably adds comfort. Another wish concerns the hotel hygiene kits—probably not just for this hotel but for the industry as a whole. It would be nice to see a more modern approach to their contents. For instance, instead of another shower cap, at least include a pad or tampon. In the 21st century, women’s hygiene items in a hotel feel far more relevant and truly useful. Women make up a large portion of travelers, yet standard hotel kits seem to change much slower than guests’ needs. None of these points spoiled our impression of the hotel; they’re just small details that could make an already wonderful place even more thoughtful and comfortable for a wide range of guests.
