I stayed at this lovely hotel and the food was amazing; the staff were very friendly and the track outside made it perfect for walking dogs. The only downside was the bed was a bit small for the chalet I was in; a larger bed would have fit better.

The bedroom was lovely, spacious, and had a huge bed; the location was great and the staff were friendly. Nothing to complain about.

The location was good, the pub looked nice, the bar was solid, the room was a decent size, and the tea and coffee tray was excellent. However, the toilet was dirty, there was only one bath and a hand towel for two people, the bed was very uncomfortable, the hairdryer didn’t work, the service in the restaurant was shocking and the meal was over‑done. Cobwebs were around the inside of the windows in the room and even a trapped daddy‑long‑legs was in the bathroom.

I love the location for a Durham shopping trip; the staff are always friendly and very helpful. No negatives.
