I stayed in the apartment near the chateau with my group; it was spacious but lacked kitchenware, and they also sold wine and beer in the apartment, yet the kitchen had no bottle opener. There was a mix‑up with breakfast—I hadn't ordered it, yet they had already put it in the fridge. Be prepared to be alone at night because all staff leave early. One night the power went out for over an hour; luckily the restaurant stayed open and a staff member gave me more candles, though there was only one candle in the huge apartment. The chateau itself looked lovely, but the maintenance could use improvement.

The room was beautifully appointed, the surrounding grounds were lovely, and the price was very reasonable. It offered excellent value for money and made us feel like we were living the life of a château owner for a day. A special highlight was the hotel’s lunch. At just €25 per person, it was delicious, well-prepared, and exceeded our expectations. The chef was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a charming countryside stay with great food and warm hospitality

The atmosphere, space and privacy (own driveway) were great. It was hot upstairs, but the days were exceptionally warm, so that usually isn’t a problem.

The location is lovely, the downstairs rooms are nice, and it’s close to Baune which is really nice. Service was poor – the DIY breakfast (brew your own coffee?) was underwhelming and not what I’d hoped for given the cost. The overall rating of the stay wasn’t helped by the fact that they booked us in for dinner then phoned an hour later to tell me they couldn’t accommodate us, forcing a twenty‑minute drive into Baune to find food – good thing we hadn’t started on the wine we were about to do! The bedrooms, while retaining some charm, were a bit too shabby (rather than chic) with dated bathrooms and bedside tables that fell off the wall (Chambre Beige in case you want to repair it).
