The historic Casarão is stunning, the reception staff are wonderful, and the breakfast is excellent; the room is very clean and adequately sized, though the bedding could use an upgrade because it's a bit worn.

The staff were fantastic, always courteous, and the breakfast was delicious; the host was very attentive, suggested local attractions, and handed us a city guide, so we’re grateful and plan to return soon.

I stayed one night in a quiet spot near many shops; the breakfast was simple, the room clean with a good bed, the shower was decent but had little water, and the guys were friendly; however, the owner came into our room and told us we couldn’t smoke even though the staff had already warned us, which felt rude and inconvenient while my husband was smoking outside in the square—definitely not a place I’d return to.
