“Picores en la piel, no hay parking, aire acondicionado caliente en verano”

The cleaning lady was friendly and helped us set the thermostat even though the air conditioning was set to a central hot temperature; the breakfast buffet was correct. We woke up with bed bugs—my sister and I were bitten all night, had to disinfect our home because we were itching all over, and even after sleeping only a short time the itching started again. The shower helped, but the suitcase clothes caused itching again, so we had to spray insecticide when we got home. The air conditioning was supposed to cool, but at 25 °C it felt hot in the room; the heat accumulated during the day and then cooled at night, making the room colder than outside because the fourth‑floor window let in no fresh air. So the “air conditioning” was misleading. Also, after booking we asked about parking and the cost; they said about 8 € per night, which was fine until we arrived in Madrid and were told the parking was under construction and we could park on the street. That lack of transparency felt deceptive, especially since I usually avoid leaving my car on unfamiliar streets for safety reasons. I think they don’t even have parking and just tell everyone that. Don’t trust the reviews like I did, because I never received the booking email to rate the stay and had to search for it myself.

“Básico en Torrejón”

A basic hotel to pass through. Generally fine. The area has shops and cafés.

The rooms are comfortable, a bus stop is right in front of the hotel and the train station is about 15 minutes away. There is free parking nearby, many restaurants and supermarkets close by. The shower screen is too small and the water spills out.
