The western town is gorgeous and the staff is very friendly, everything is kept tidy and clean – we’ll definitely return. The crepes with sugar and cinnamon cost over €6, which feels excessive, and the arrival checks are a bit over the top.

Breakfast was excellent, and the food around the city is generally very good; there’s a lot to offer, even for kids. We were there from Sunday to Tuesday, but none of the bars were open, and there was no live music.

We booked two rooms at the Palace Hotel; the cheaper one was smaller but still had a balcony and a cozy feel – the internet was a disaster, many shops were still closed, but the shows were simply perfect.

Breakfast was hearty, varied, and very good; the service staff were attentive and friendly. Overall, the western town is great, with all restaurants and shops styled accordingly. Cleaning staff sat on a small bench outside our lower‑floor room 9 just before 8 am, talking loudly enough to wake us; the room was only swept with a broom, sand still felt underfoot, and the bathroom had few storage spots. The walkways to the accommodations are sandy and gravelly, not suitable for luggage, yet it’s still a western town.
