Our apartment sat right on the promenade with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, faced the back side, was spotless and more than enough space for one person; the best part was the large terrace overlooking the sea, just one step up where we could enjoy breakfast after 09:00 with the sun climbing the mountain. There were no built‑in closets, so I rearranged the kitchen cabinets to store my clothes. The wide bed was very comfortable and the evenings were fairly quiet. There was no reception; the owners lived on the first floor and you have to be a bit louder at arrival before a door opens. As a tip, the rolls at the nearby Spar were far better than the bakery’s, the piano bar in the Gomera Lounge to the right hosts interesting bands and occasional dancing, and the glass platform at Mirador de Abrante in Agulo offers a unique view downwards.
