Hotel Victoria in Lugano-Paradiso, built in 1884, stands on Lake Lugano's shore, offering panoramic views of the bay and Mount Bre. Renovated in 2015, rooms feature flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. Two on-site restaurants/pizzerias serve lake views, with a charming summer terrace. The hotel also features the Dancing Club Cecil with live weekend music and is close to local amenities and public transportation.

The hotel’s spot is spot on—sitting on the balcony, you can actually see the lake. The room feels a bit dated, but everything you need is there, the bathroom is spacious and the bathtub is comfy. The only downside was when I walked up to the second‑floor corridor; the motion‑sensor lights didn’t work, making the hallway a little scary and dark.

Great central location to Lago and Lugano on foot. Also ideal for Italy, the ship, and the promenade. The hotel is in a Bellepoque style that is rare in Paradiso! Nice terrace by the lake. Unfortunately I received a nasty parking fine right at the hotel (?) with the Moto and not the TI sign. It raises questions about their behaviour towards tourists.

The location is fine. The room was dirty and smelled bad, and the staff were missing at check‑out—waiting 15 minutes at the front desk before leaving the keys on the counter.

The place is in a great spot, with a balcony that looks out over the lake. It’s super convenient to everything yet still away from Lugano’s center.
