The spot in Place des Vosges is special, and being in Le Marais is a bonus with great restaurants and shops nearby. We’ve stayed here many times, but the recent changes to breakfast and the honor bar spaces didn’t appeal to us; we preferred the old honor bar and library that doubled as a breakfast area. This time our room was on two floors, a fact we only learned upon arrival, making it inconvenient with the bathroom downstairs and bedroom upstairs. The tub had a shower but no walk‑in shower and no separate toilet area, which feels outdated for a luxury hotel today. This has been my go‑to hotel in Paris for years, and to keep coming back I’ll need more detailed information about the room we’re assigned, or I might have to look for a new favorite.

The place is beautiful and in a great location, and the staff were very helpful. A late‑night menu could use some improvement.

I love the location, the facilities, and how friendly the staff are, but the price is ridiculously high.

We got an upgrade to a room that felt cramped, with a heavy curtain, freshly painted walls, and very heavy bed linens. Luckily we switched rooms, and the new one was better, but it was extremely pricey for what it offered—we paid almost 2300 euros for two nights without breakfast. The rooms looked dated and a little dirty.
