The inn is wonderful, in the best spot by the lagoon, and the hosts’ reception is excellent—definitely will return many times!

The location and service at D. Silvana are 10/10. Because it’s a guesthouse, there isn’t a shared kitchen for preparing meals, and the shower’s temperature control is unreliable, sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold.

The place sits right on Av das Rendeiras, close to the beach. There is no front desk or reception; I only realized I was at the right spot when a lady approached me and asked if I was a guest, but no check‑in was done. In the morning when I left, no one was there to hand me a key, so I simply left the key on the door and walked away. The street has no signage indicating it’s a guesthouse, and there’s a strong smell of cat urine on the stairs.
