The location is great. The standards didn’t match what was shown on the site or past reviews from 2024 – it felt very worn compared to expectations. The kayaks were poorly equipped, the café offered little, and while the staff were polite and pleasant, they could have been more service‑oriented.

The setting and nature are fantastic, and the cabin is spacious with fun little touches around the site 😁. The only downside is the view of the fish farm, though that’s not the kayak centre’s fault.

Beautiful views with beach, hiking, and relaxation opportunities. We loved that it felt a bit remote, although it was still only about 1 1/2 hours from Bodø. A perfect weekend getaway

A snug kayak cabin on Kjerringøy. Good food and the staff made the stay enjoyable. The restaurant closed early, but the staff still managed to get us meals.
