Breakfast, location, balcony, and view were all positive, but a deposit was due 11 months before arrival, and upon arrival we were immediately asked for the remaining balance in cash, which we were prepared for, otherwise we would have had to find another Sparkasse.

The apartment’s balcony offered a wonderful view and the location was excellent, and breakfast was decent with plenty of rolls though it lacked fruit and vegetables; however, check‑in wasn’t until 15:00, and after driving all night we arrived around 10 am, killed time until 14:00 and showed up an hour early, only to be met by the senior host pointing at the clock and shouting “15 o’clock!” and telling us to park further right—an unfriendly greeting I’ve never experienced before. I apologized and said we’d wait the extra hour, but the matron eventually let us in. It seemed odd that we had to vacate the rooms by 9 am when the previous guests supposedly left at 12. The leather couch was heavily worn, spider webs clung to the crucifix, the couch was stained, bathroom grout hadn’t been cleaned for at least three months, and the shower corners were terrible. I just hoped the linens and towels were fresh. All of this might have been overlooked if we’d been welcomed warmly; even at departure there was no “safe journey” or anything, just a shrug when I said the only problem was the start. Thankfully the locals we met on hikes were genuinely friendly, which is what we’re used to. Would I recommend this place? Yes, if you don’t mind a lack of friendliness and cleanliness, the view is nice.

The location was excellent. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The hosts were friendly, and you could always come to them. There was nothing negative.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, thanks to the warm and friendly hosts. They were always willing to help and provide valuable recommendations for local attractions. Their father, who's a local expert, knew all the best spots to visit.
