The grounds were very nice, the cottage was fairly large and adequately equipped, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. However, the cottage had cold water, one stove burner didn’t work, and there was an unpleasant sewage smell in the bathroom.

The setting is gorgeous and very peaceful, with an excellent base for exploring western Asturias and Galicia, yet the facilities are badly overdue for an upgrade. The cabins are tiny, barely enough room for four people, and the beds—especially the sofa‑bed—are uncomfortable for several nights. The water heater kept switching off on its own, so we had to keep restarting it for hot water, and a mouse even got into the cabin and ate the muffins we’d stored. With such a beautiful surroundings, investing in cabin renovations, fixing the hot‑water issue and addressing pest control would bring the place up to the promise it makes.

The garden was nice, but for the price the huts could have been built with better quality.

I loved how peaceful the place was and the service was fine, especially Sira the little cat who stole the show 😄. My only gripe was the sofa‑bed mattress—I’m not sure how many nights it could actually survive, but everything else was fine.
