There is a parking lot behind, which is very convenient for drivers, and it’s close to the Nibiki River, just a walk away. We booked one night with two meals, the food was delicious, highly recommended!

We booked a night with breakfast and dinner included and the food was excellent – kaiseki‑style, with great taste and preparation. We had told them in advance that one of us was vegetarian and we were very impressed with how they catered for us, as finding vegetarian food can be tricky in rural Japan. The vegetarian meals were well planned with thoughtful replacements throughout. The inn and room were clean, comfortable and well maintained. It’s a great place to stay before or after visiting the Geibikei gorge – the inn is about ten minutes’ walk both from the station and from the wharf where the boats leave from to visit the gorge. Nothing else to add.

There aren’t many rooms, but the accommodation quality is good, the food is refined and tasty, though people with a larger appetite might not feel full.

An old‑style Japanese hotel with a good breakfast. No restaurants were open the night we arrived.

I enjoyed a very Japanese-style breakfast, and during my stay I could use free coffee and tea. I booked a dinner that was included, and the Japanese dinner was surprisingly delicious.
