I would advise against booking this place; it feels like a scam. When we arrived to check in, the owner told us no rooms were available. I later called for a refund and the agent said the owner wouldn’t allow it because they claimed they could accommodate us. They’re lying to keep the money, and the whole operation looks disorganized and shady.

At 1:00 p.m. on the day of our arrival, the check‑in time was moved from the originally scheduled 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The owner messaged us saying he couldn’t reach us by phone and asked us to contact him. As tourists without a U.S. phone number, we could only send messages. We reached out through the app and also texted the phone number provided, but received no reply. We went to the address to see if anyone was there and to check in, only to find the place looking nothing like a hostel or a place where people actually live; it was shocking and disgusting. We have still not received a response to the messages we sent, so we decided to stay elsewhere. The next morning, the property sent us a message thanking us for staying with them and hoping we would leave feedback, even though we never checked in or spent the night. It was the worst accommodation we’ve ever encountered on our travels, and after reading other reviews, we’re glad we never managed to get inside.

The air conditioning system was not working throughout the apartment, and the temperature was close to 90 degrees as shown on the thermostat.

If you’re into using crack or meth and don’t mind catching hepatitis or possibly being burned alive in a fire, you’ll love this place. WARNING – THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! It’s not a hostel or a guest house; it’s literally a boarded‑up crack house being illegally run as a drug den for the mentally ill (see exterior photo below). It’s part of a chain of scam places run by sketchy foreign owners. You’ll book a reservation, and as soon as you arrive, they’ll read you the same script: “Sorry – the room you booked is not available because the last guest made a huge mess. All we have for you is a bunk bed in a dorm room.” They refuse to refund you for any rate difference or offer any other accommodation. That “dorm room” is a windowless, un‑air‑conditioned, unventilated death trap that you share with 8–10 homeless people. Have you ever paid $150 to sleep in a bathroom‑sized room with 8 homeless people in 90‑degree heat? If you book here, you’re about to find out. The people use the place as a drug den and just walk around completely stoned. The place has no permit or fire occupancy certificate, and it’s being operated illegally. There are holes in the walls and ceiling, open electrical outlets, no smoke detectors, no fire exits, and it’s nothing more than a hastily‑built fire trap. They text you directly instead of using the message system so they don’t want anyone to discover their scam.
