I really enjoyed this guest house—everything was comfy and clean, it’s only a 100‑meter walk to the action, and the host Zura was excellent. Even though he didn’t speak much English, he quickly used Google Translate to chat with me. I also joined him on a day trip that was both educational and fun. The only drawback was that my towel was too small.

Returning for a second time felt comforting because the place was familiar. The beds and pillows were among the best I’ve had in Georgia, there’s a kitchen area, and the bathroom is clean—though it can get a little smelly from the dampness in this part of the year. The host was super friendly, kind, and helpful, and Roy the dog was cute and fun. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the main roundabout and the fountain in town’s center.

I found the location superb, close to the main roundabout and the park; the bed and pillows were super comfy and the room was quite spacious. My room had a private external bathroom, which was fine, although the lack of a window made it a bit smelly – I kept the fan on with the door open. I could use the kitchen whenever I wanted to make breakfast or lunch, and the washing machine was a lifesaver! The host—Jovan, I think—was very gracious and helpful; we had to use Google Translate, but that was okay. He answered any questions quickly, gave me some lovely date treats one morning while I had coffee on the deck, and drove me to my transport to Mestia. It felt great to be well taken care of! Oh, and Roy, the mischievous dachshund, was super cute and a lot of fun! I was a bit worried about waking the owner up early to use the kitchen, but he was always very understanding. There is a dog nearby that barks loudly at night, but that’s not the hotel’s fault; earplugs helped.
