I loved this hostel. Besides having a great location in Campeche, during the low season when I stayed, everything was always clean and organized. The kitchen is good, and the hostel also offers private rooms with air conditioning. The bedding smelled clean. I also liked the staff and volunteers’ service. The vibe was very good, a very calm place. I adored the cat Zaya, the house mascot. The fridge in the kitchen wasn’t cooling well enough; they’ll probably need some maintenance.

The location is easily reachable, but the noise is a problem and the staff shows no respect for guests’ rest; they even turned on the vacuum cleaner while people were sleeping. The showers are almost freezing, and the kitchen is mainly for volunteers. One volunteer at the front desk was clueless about pricing and seemed lost.

The private room was cozy, spotless, and organized, with the air‑conditioning working perfectly and a comfortable kitchenette that included a microwave, stove, cutlery, and everything I needed. The key fob for my room was broken and only dispensed cold water, and I was in the middle of winter when I arrived, so a quick check on those details would help.
