“Excellent stay at Ventana Canyon Resort.”
The staff really went the extra mile to make the stay memorable—from the bell boys and receptionists to the golf crew, everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is spectacular, with great views into the Tucson valley and exceptional desert landscaping. I was disappointed with the food and meat quality at the signature (expensive) restaurant “Flying V” and with the lunch at the casual “Bill’s Grill.” Waking up at 5:50 a.m. from an insanely loud fire alarm was a real let‑down, and the security box needed to be replaced. My room was very comfortable and nice, but the resort as a whole needs a fresh coat of paint. If you’re planning to play golf, make sure you know the opening hours of the on‑site pro shop.
