The location was close to the ferry, the bed was amazing—soft and comfortable—and the room offered a lovely outlook. The host was friendly.

Close to the ferry, a nice shower, and the breakfast on the first day was very good. However, the beds creaked and were very short, the room smelled. For €200 per night I expected a towel change; after a long hike you find wet towels still on the floor. When we asked if we could have breakfast at 6 am on the day of departure, we were told no—we could better have breakfast on the ferry, which was a real disappointment.

The room and house featured lovely interiors with many thoughtful details. John prepared Bento boxes for breakfast that were very tasty and clearly made with love. Everything was clean and worked well. Thank you!

Breakfast was amazing with so many options, and we were greeted immediately by our host who showed us around. I had medication that needed to stay cold, and he let me keep it in the main fridge while my cold packs went in the freezer so they were ready for the next day’s travel. The place is less than 10 minutes from the port/ferry terminal in Tarbert, which was great. Everything was homemade and locally sourced, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the sheep were an added bonus. Everything was great; I have no complaints.
