The atmosphere is as described: cute, nothing missing from the amenities, from the fridge to the snacks to the soaps. All good.

The hotel sits on a main, bright street in lively Trastevere, yet it’s an amazingly quiet place to sleep. A few minutes’ walk takes you to a nice park with skyline views over Rome, a fountain, restaurants (you must try Pastamore’s truffle spaghetti), and shops. The bridge and market are a short distance from the city centre. We fell in love with the balcony in room 1—so romantic, so quiet, so private. The staff were reachable via WhatsApp at all times, and a courteous gentleman knocked on the first morning for cleaning, though we didn’t need it. The bath is small, but that’s fine for us. We really enjoyed everything. The place wasn’t perfectly clean, but it was clean enough.

The coffee machine works and the room is clean. There’s no external sign indicating it’s a hotel, no lighting outside the building, the Wi‑Fi is terrible with no signal, and the TV is just decorative because the internet is so weak. Also, we couldn’t sleep well because we could hear many footsteps near the arrival area; the environment isn’t quiet.

“Good but not great!”

The location was great! We enjoy walking, so everything from Trastevere to Rome’s attractions was within walking distance. The owner let us drop off our luggage and keep it until check‑in. The apartment door lock was a real hassle; the first time we opened it, a neighbour kindly let us in. The owner was always gracious in helping with the door issue we had at first. It was challenging, to say the least.

The cleaning and location were good. There was a TV, but it didn’t work during our stay, and the Wi‑Fi had very little signal and didn’t work.
