The hosts were the friendliest we met on our trip, always welcoming and making us feel at home. Breakfast was tasty, and the lakeside location let us paddle out whenever we wanted. The room, however, got pretty damp and sticky, and a better ventilation system would help. Cleaning left a few dead flies, which was a bit off‑putting.
Guillermo was attentive, offered great tips, handled all our tuk‑tuk rides, and his English was spot‑on. The spot had a stunning lake view and was near the rock, though a bit out of town so we had to take tuk‑tuks each time. The breakfast was homemade, tasty, and the two kayaks were a nice bonus for spontaneous lake trips. The room and bathroom were a bit basic for the price, but the host’s warm welcome made up for it.

The rooms were comfy, the breakfast from the terrace was delicious, and we could paddle or kayak whenever we wanted. It was a peaceful, nature‑filled escape we’d gladly return to.

Everything about Serendipity feels like a gift – the beautiful rooms, the thoughtful touches, and the constant care from Guillermo and Sonia. They arranged a reliable taxi to the airport, served homemade coffee blends and jam made from local fruit, and made us feel like we were stepping into a real home. Even the cat was friendly, so there was nothing we didn’t like. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
