We had a wonderful stay at Melrose Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, kind, and always available to help. Our room—huge—was cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided daily. The hotel was clean and had everything we needed. We were very happy with our experience and would definitely recommend it!

The hotel offers good value, just a short walk from the subway to Manhattan, and McDonald’s, Burger King, and Dunkin’ are nearby. The building looks newly renovated next to the Opera House hotel. The room and bed are comfortable, and the guy at reception was always friendly—he even lent me his umbrella. The area feels a bit seedy but safe, which didn’t deter me.

Everything was great.

The location is perfect for visiting Manhattan, just 20 minutes by subway. The station is very close to the hotel, and the cleanliness is excellent. The only downside is the lack of breakfast.

A genuinely pleasant hotel with friendly staff and a location just a short walk from the subway, but the surrounding neighborhood is quite unsafe with a noticeable presence of drug users—an unfortunate contrast to the otherwise great property.
