A very nice hostel in Karakol. The owners are helpful and can arrange other activities like horse riding, bookings for taxis, etc. The on‑site breakfast is very good for a reasonable price.

The location is excellent and central, with a fairly large common area where you can order breakfast, coffee, tea, and other food and drinks. Secure parking is available if you let them know before arrival. I stayed in a twin room that was a decent size and comfortable. The owner speaks fluent English, which was very helpful. Many guests stay there, so there’s a chance to meet people if you’re traveling solo. The only real downside was that there was no water when we arrived, so we couldn’t shower or use the bathroom initially; this was fixed after a few hours and they informed us at check‑in. The second night the shower only had cold water, and I’m not sure why—it seemed like bad luck, but it was unfortunate to have water issues on both days.

“Very good hostel with great staff. RECOMMENDED!”

The staff are genuinely friendly, ready to help and give advice about walks, restaurants, and more without being pushy. The room is spacious and the bed comfortable. Tea is always available, and the work area is good for meeting people. I didn’t try breakfast. The location is convenient for catching the Mashrukta to the countryside, though it’s a bit far from the city center. The toilet is a bit cramped for the room’s size, making it hard to use, and at times I wished the heater was on.

Breakfast was great, with several variations to choose from. The owner is very nice, speaks good English, and asks if you need help. She offers good tips for day trips. The sink had little light, and the mirror was too low, making shaving difficult.
