The spot was super convenient, right next to the city center, supermarkets, and the motorway that takes you up to the mount and Papamoa. The kitchen area felt a bit cramped; a few extra shelves for groceries and other stuff would have helped.

“Most enjoyable all most slept in”

The location was ideal for visiting our friends’ house, and our unit stayed quiet even though it’s close to Cameron Road. The place looked a little worn out, but it’s an older unit with large rooms and a spacious living area.

“Excellent, Good Value Motel With Great Facilities & Location”

We had a good night at the Academy Motor Inn. We didn’t get much time to explore because we arrived around 9 pm and had to leave again at 8 am for a dance competition across the road, but our suite impressed us. It was very clean and well presented. We liked the two separate bedrooms—my husband and daughter slept in the queen bed while I slept in a single. Each bedroom had a heat pump and the lounge had a heater set up for us when we arrived. I also enjoyed watching YouTube on the bedroom TV. It was great to have a parking spot right outside our room. The receptionist I spoke with on the phone the day before was friendly and helpful. My daughter was a bit uneasy about the shower because the tiles were yellowish, an older style, but we made it work.

Central, very clean and comfortable. The only downside was the amount of road noise, which is unavoidable given the location.
