All in all, it was fine. Nothing stood out, but nothing was off either.

Breakfast was decent – my partner liked it, but the toaster was broken. The dinner was a highlight, really good. Walking around the grounds was a treat; saw a red‑headed woodpecker and a long‑beaked ibis. The view from our room was amazing, but the room itself was pretty cold and the bathroom glass could use a better seal.

The place was comfortable, no complaints there. The problem was the payment – the site didn’t list the taxes, so the final price was higher than expected. They add fees, but they also don’t include the 22% tax, which is confusing.

Great little cottage with a stove – cozy vibes. But the dinner was a letdown; the gnocchi was inedible and the meat would have been better with potatoes. Don’t expect fancy cuisine here.

The lakefront location and surroundings are lovely. I missed the owners’ presence – they used to be there and gave the place a family feel. Room Lenga 2 still has a bad door, like last time. Still, we’ll come back to Mallin Colorado.
