I was all set to arrive, but two hours before check‑in the host called and cancelled my booking. I couldn't get a hold of him for a while, and when I finally reached him at the airport he said the place couldn't be cleaned. I was left scrambling for a new spot at the last minute. With no cancellation policy for guests, this kind of last‑minute host cancellation is unacceptable.

The place was close to the metro and spotless, but there was no table to work at, so I couldn't use my laptop.

The location was far from the city and the train station. I stayed nine nights, and the price didn’t go down. The place was only cleaned twice, there was no front‑desk staff, so I had to figure out how to get into the room myself. Luckily someone nearby helped, but I don’t speak French, so it was tough.
