Located in the nature reserve of Bel Ombre, Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort offers 4 swimming pools and 5 restaurants with Indian Ocean views. Spacious rooms feature air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and sea views, with some rooms near the beach and Ocean Rooms offering balconies. The resort features a Navasana Spa, kids club, and playground, as well as diving, snorkeling, and table tennis.

The beach offers a visual pleasure and calmness, the room is spacious and tidy, and the shower and jacuzzi are excellent even though the furniture isn’t modern. The furniture feels a bit dated, the breakfast variety is limited, the restaurants require reservations with dates not available until a day or two in advance, and the resort’s events for residents are unclear.

The beachfront room provides very nice views, the staff are very friendly and informative. We had breakfast and dinner; the food was very good with many choices. Taxis from the hotel are perfect for day trips. The beach has lots of corals, so swimming without water shoes isn’t possible.

The room, beach, and dinner were all excellent, and my family and I had a wonderful time, but the room was attached to a laundry room and we noticed some leakage from the bathroom toilet.

The location was beautiful and right in the middle of nature, but the staff (except for the reception) were very unfriendly, indiscreet, and inattentive.
